Summerdale Assembly of God Church is one of the leading congregations in the Summerdale area. We are a vibrant congregation dedicated to serving the spiritual, educational, and cultural needs of the surrounding community. Our Church is deeply rooted in God's Holy Word, and our doors are always open to those looking for a place to worship.
What We Believe
We are an Assembly of God Church that is a part of the Assemblies of God Network and Alabama Network Ministries. Our core beliefs align with the Assemblies of God denomination.
The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, 1 Corinthians 1:10 [KJV/NIV]; Acts 2:42 [KJV/NIV]). The phraseology employed in this Statement is not inspired nor contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full-gospel ministry. No claim is made that it covers all Biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines.
This “Statement of Fundamental Truths” contains the 16 doctrines of the Assemblies of God. These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to.
Four of these — Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ — are considered Cardinal Doctrines which are essential to the church’s core mission of reaching the world for Christ.

Our Pastor
Pastor Steve Fairley and his wife Michelle joined Summerdale Assembly at the beginning of 2024 as the Lead Pastors.
Michelle and I would like to welcome you to Summerdale Assembly. I was formally the associate pastor at Kushla Assembly of God in Kushla, Alabama for 6+ years. Prior to serving there, Michelle and I were members of Tanner Williams AOG in Tanner Williams for 20 years and served in several areas of the church, from children to adult ministries. We have two daughters, a son, and three grandchildren that I am sure you will see at any given time with us! We are honored that the Lord saw fit to place us here in Summerdale, and we look forward to serving here.
